Is bedding provided?
Yes bedding is provided and beds are made for your arrival. 

Do we have to clean the accommodation when we leave?
We ask that all accommodation is left clean and tidy, rubbish emptied, dishes put away, cooker & crockery all left clean, as you would expect it, when you arrive. A  housekeeping starter pack is provided including dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, sponge, cloth, toilet roll and bin bag. Other basic cleaning materials are provided.

What is included in the price?
Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels, wi-fi access and parking are all included in the price.

Is there a washing machine?
There is not a washing machine in the propery but there is a laundrette in Dunoon (10 mins) with washers and dryers. Service washes are also available.

Is there a dishwasher in the lodge?
There is a dishwasher in Calltainn Lodge and in Fraochan Lodge.

What T.V. channels are there?
In Calltainn Lodge, Fraochan Lodge and The Wee Ludging there is Internet TV with Catch-up TV, YouTube and Netflix and a Bluetooth CD player. In the Sheilings there is multi-channel satellite TV with music channels and a DVD player.

Where are the nearest shops?
The nearest shop is 5 mins away with most basic provisions and is open early until late. There are other shops at Sandbank and in the town of Dunoon, 10 mins.

Can I get a signal on my mobile phone?
Yes there is a good mobile signal on most networks, although EE and Orange signal patchy.

Are dogs allowed in any of the accommodation?
Dogs are not allowed in Calltainn Lodge and Fraochan Lodge. If you have stayed with us before and have a dog we will be happy to recommend other lodges nearby that accept pets. Dogs are not allowed in the Sheilings.

Are children allowed?
Children over five years are welcome at Calltainn Lodge and Fraochan Lodge only, but the others are not suitable for children.

Do we have to pay to use the Wi-Fi connection?
No, wi-fi access is free of charge.

Are towels or toiletries provided?
A basic supply of toiletries and 2 towels per person are provided. Tea towels are provided.

When can we arrive and depart?
Your lodge will be available after 4pm on Arrival Day, and you must depart by 10am on Departure Day, but you can request Early Arrival from 2:30pm or Late Departure to 11:30am each for a small extra charge

Can I smoke in the lodge, have candles or a barbecue?
All our lodges are No Smoking, but you can smoke outside and well away from the property. The cabins are made of wood so we ask guests to smoke away from the lodges. Barbecues are welcome at Calltainn and Fraochan only, but again not in the immediate vicinity, or directly on grass. Candles and naked flames are not permitted inside.

Can I cook in the lodge?
Yes each property is equipped with a kitchen with 4-ring electric or convection hob, oven, microwave oven (not in The Wee Ludging), pans, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware. There are also several country inns, restaurants, cafes and coffee shops nearby or within a 10 min drive.
