Booking Conditions
The holiday guest agrees:
1. to leave the holiday property at the end of the holiday in a clean and tidy
condition and ready for future guests. Any extra costs for cleaning and breakages to be borne by
the holiday maker. See 14. below.
2. to ensure the holiday property is securely locked when not occupied during the
holiday let.
3. to report and replace any breakages, damage or losses, and to reimburse Chase The
Wild Goose Holidays for such, and to reimburse Chase The Wild Goose Holidays for any soaked or
damaged mattresses.
4. to use the holiday property solely for its purpose as holiday
accommodation
5. to limit the number of occupants to the number stipulated in the written or email
correspondence between the holidaymaker and Chase The Wild Goose
Holidays
6. to keep pets under strict and proper control at all times, especially with regard
to conditions 1 and 3. Pets are NOT to be left alone at any time in or near the holiday property.
Animal hairs MUST be removed from carpets and furniture. Pets are NOT allowed in bedrooms or on
furniture. Please fully respect this requirement.
7. to vacate the holiday property at termination of the let (before 10.00am on
departure day)
8. that Chase The Wild Goose Holidays will not be liable for any loss or damage
caused to the guest or guest’s property howsoever caused.
9. that any disputes will be settled in accordance with Scots
law
10. that a booking will be regarded as firm only once the deposit has been received
and receipt of which has been confirmed by Chase The Wild Goose Holidays
11. to pay a deposit of £100 per week when booking. This is non-refundable once a
booking has been accepted..
12. to pay the balance of rental due no later than 6 weeks before holiday (no reminder
will be issued). Payment/receipt of the deposit is deemed as acceptance of these conditions.
Failure to pay the balance 6-weeks before the holiday will result in cancellation with no further
liability on Chase The Wild Goose Holidays
13. that in the event of cancellation the holidaymaker shall notify Chase The Wild
Goose Holidays immediately by telephone and thereafter in writing. Where the holiday guest cancels
the holiday within the 6-week period immediately prior to the holiday the full rental will be
charged/retained by Chase The Wild Goose Holidays unless re-letting is possible, when the
holidaymaker shall receive a refund equivalent to the re-letting charge, such refund to be no more
than the total amount paid less the non-refundable deposit. NB if the holiday is cancelled by Chase
The Wild Goose Holidays due to an event or circumstance beyond its control a full reimbursement of
all charges shall be made. Insurance against cancellation is
recommended.
14. to pay prior to arrival, a Good Housekeeping Deposit of £60 per lodge, per
week. For New Year bookings the deposit is £120 per lodge. This is not retained, either in full or in
part, provided the booking conditions are fully adhered to, there has been no smoking within the
premises, lodge keys are returned, the cleaning staff are not unduly delayed in their duties and there
are no major problems or breakages due to misuse of the facilities (minor breakages of crockery or
glassware as a general rule are not charged). Please note that Guests leaving beyond 10.15 am will incur
an additional minimum charge of £40. We can accept a signed mandate (see reverse of booking form) or a
SEPARATE cheque supported by cheque guarantee card. Non-charged cheques will be returned, OR destroyed.
In the event that we incur excessive cost or loss of rental income due to unreasonable damage we shall
also retain credit/debit card details for 14 days after completion of the let and we reserve the right to
take payment from the credit/debit card in compensation.
15. Chase The Wild Goose Holidays reserve the right to charge by credit or debit card
any outstanding balance due, upon notification to the guest, in the event of cancellation within
the 6-week period
16. The first £6 of electricity is included in the rental. Additional
heating/electricity is charged at 10p per unit by £1 coin meter. Night Storage Heating is included
in the rental charge.
17. Prices/allowances are subject to change. Guests should check current prices when
booking.
18. Chase The Wild Goose Holidays is unable to accept responsibility for any
unforeseen problem arising during the holiday which is beyond their control but will take all
reasonable steps to ensure such problem is rectified as quickly as
possible.
19. The owners reserve the right to enter the premises at any reasonable time for
urgent repair or maintenance
20. Please remember, SMOKING inside the lodge is strictly forbidden as it would
invalidate our insurance
